Emil Kuchenbeiser founded “ERA Short and Long Distance Transports.” The range of our services expands at the same rate as the demand for transportation services due to the post war reconstruction efforts.
Since 1949 we transport goods to Belgium, France, The Netherlands and even to Italy. This was the foundation for “ERA International Forwarding Ltd”.

We are charged with the transportation, storage, commissioning and distribution of high quality steel and in doing so we welcome the first Logistics clients to ERA.
The existing warehouse capacities are being expanded.
Further expansion of warehouse capacities become necessary and new warehouse and office facilities are being built.
Over the time the number of our own trucks has increased so tremendously that we are now talking about a real ERA fleet.
We are approaching new territory. We are starting our own Air and Sea Freight Division.
More and more Customer-oriented projects regarding Procurement, Stock Keeping and Distribution etc. are being completed. Our range of services expands into the fields of Logistics and Outsourcing / External Service Provider.
We become an active member of the international operating FANA Group. (a forwarding cooperation operating in all major trading places worldwide).
We become the founding member of the Forwarding Cooperation SPEDITON 2000.
To offer our customers even more competitive advantages we are joining the forwarding cooperation CTL (Cargo Trans Logistik AG). Within CTL more than 80 mid-sized national and international freight forwarders are coordinating their daily domestic and European consolidation services via 4 hubs.
The construction of our new ramp-platform for one of our warehouses, the restoration of our office buildings and the certification of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, denotes the year 2006.
The construction of our new ERA Logistics-Center. With a height of 20m and more than 10.000 pallet-ports, we increase our logistics-branch.
